Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

The short version. We only collect what we need to tell you when the briefing launches and to send it to you afterwards. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@the5minutebriefing.com.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The 5 Minute Briefing is responsible (the "data controller") for the personal data collected on this website.

[Your name or company name]
[Street and number, postcode, city, country]
Email: info@the5minutebriefing.com

2. What we collect

When you sign up, we collect:

We don't use tracking cookies or analytics on this site. The page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them when the page opens.

3. Why we use it

We use your data only for these purposes. We don't sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box on the sign-up form. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it doesn't affect anything we did with your data before that.

5. Who else handles your data

We use a small number of outside services to run The 5 Minute Briefing:

Some of these services may store or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses. When you receive the briefing on Telegram or WhatsApp, those apps' own privacy policies also apply.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you're signed up. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days. If the service never launches, we delete all sign-up data.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email info@the5minutebriefing.com. We'll reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Luxembourg this is the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), cnpd.public.lu. You can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live.

8. Unsubscribing

You can stop the briefing at any time. Reply "stop" to any briefing, leave the Telegram channel, or email us and we'll remove you.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and let you know by email before the change applies.
